Hygiene

Properly cleaning your training gear is essential to maintain hygiene and prevent unpleasant odors. Here are some tips to ensure your gear stays fresh and clean:

1. Clean immediately after class: It's important to wash your training gear promptly after each session. Leaving sweaty gear in your gym bag can lead to the growth of bacteria and unpleasant odors.

2. Use soap and Odoban: When washing your gear, use a quality detergent along with a splash of Odoban. Odoban is a disinfectant and deodorizer that helps eliminate odors and kill bacteria. Follow the instructions on the Odoban bottle for the appropriate amount to use.

3. Machine wash or hand wash: Depending on the fabric and care instructions, you can either machine wash or hand wash your gear. Check the labels or consult the manufacturer's guidelines to ensure you're using the correct washing method.

4. Hang dry or use a dryer: After washing, you can either hang your gear to dry or use a dryer if the fabric allows it. Hang drying helps prevent shrinkage and extends the lifespan of your gear. If using a dryer, use a low heat setting to avoid damaging the fabric.

5. Regularly clean accessories: Don't forget to clean other accessories like mouthguards, headgear, and protective gear. Follow the manufacturer's instructions for cleaning these items, as they may require specific care.

By following these cleaning practices, you can keep your training gear fresh, hygienic, and ready for your next session. Remember, maintaining clean gear not only benefits your own hygiene but also shows respect for your training partners.
